The game is open-ended, and the player is free to explore and perform various tasks at will, unless a mission instructs otherwise. The entire game universe holds thousands of persistent stations and ships, with a varying economy which the player is encouraged to take part in through trading, construction, and in some instances combat. The player can navigate their ship across numerous sectors owned by the various races (Argon, Boron, Split, Paranid, Teladi, Xenon, Kha'ak, Terran, Pirate and Yaki) which are connected through devices termed Jumpgates, allowing for large-scale travel in the game universe. X3: Terran Conflict is a single player, first-person space-based simulator where the player can explore and expand in a constantly changing environment. It was first released in October 2008 for the European market and Steam. Described as a stand-alone game, based on X3: Reunion, it boasts new plot lines, features and assets. MODs help in the respect that should have been included anyway, its makes the game more worthwhile to play and it does a better job then the vanilla version does, but with MODS, there are no steam achievements, and really.who is counting those achievements in this day an age anyway.go with mods or stay green.X3: Terran Conflict is a space trading and combat simulator by German developer Egosoft, part of their X series of games.

I have over 500 ships and just three sectors that have everything I need, only 100 of those are trading ships, the rest.is basically a fighting force not to take lightly when I'm in a sector (s).with over 2600 hours in and over the top in credits, am not worried if a trader goes out of bounds.they can be replaced.and often are.Ī Blacklist is a Traders supposely not to go into area's that are off limits, you set it for that ship each time, but they ignore it most of the time so its useless to use anyway, placing a sat in a sector gives them the light to trade in that sector, but I have had to go into sectors to help them when there wasn't any sats and was a restricted area (blacklist on their trade list) and so it can and does happen anyway. If you're playing vanilla game.if you get mods.thats a different story.been there, done that.ĭo small missions that will pay, you'll gain rep and discover new sectors as well, its a Looong long way to the top. For Starters, you'll be better off if you are just starting out, is to stay out of trouble, get a jump drive, go to sectors that has missles in a war zone.again don't get involved and don't have your traders go into war zones or where there are pirates looting ships, although you can get some missles to sell and other stuff that they blow up (ships) that are left behind.but for now, starting off trading isn't profitable until you have at least 50,000,000.
